Arthur "Art" Everett Williams, Jr., age 78 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Funeral Mass will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3rd at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with Father Stephen Gideon as celebrant. Visitation will be Monday, October 2nd from 4:00-7:00 p.m., with the Rosary at 3:30 p.m. prior to visitation, at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 584 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN. Interment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens with military honors. Mr. Williams was born July 31, 1939 in Beloit, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur & Irene Williams; sister, Mary Ann Williams; daughter, Wendy Anderson and granddaughter, Amanda Jones. He is survived by wife of 51 years, Kathy Williams of Gallatin; daughter, Cindy Sharp (Robert) of White House; brother, Tom Williams (Connie) of Burnsville, MN; grandsons, Zachary Jones (Bethany) of Springfield, Nicholas Jones of Gallatin, Alex Sharp of White House; granddaughter, Danielle Sharp of White House; great grandsons, Parker and Lincoln Jones. Mr. Williams served in U. S. Army and was an Vietnam Veteran; member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church; member of Gallatin Knights of Columbus Council #10010 and was also a 4th Degree member of Assembly #3241. He was an avid golfer, loved fishing with the grandchildren and telling jokes. Memorials may be made to Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center to help with funeral expenses.
