Brenda Jean Miles, 81, of Hartsville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, in Webster, Texas. Born October 14, 1944, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Bernice James Coakley and Margaret Gillahan Coakley.

Brenda will be remembered as a woman devoted to her family, her faith, and the work of daily life. She handled dispatch for her and her husband’s trucking company, serving with dedication and dependability. Outside of work, she loved painting oil paintings, was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling with her late husband. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, who were at the center of her life.

Her strong Christian faith was one of the defining blessings of her life. Brenda was proud to have led many of her children and grandchildren to Christ, and her example of faith and love will remain part of her family’s legacy for generations to come.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Miles; daughters, Sharon Renee Riggs, Stephanie Lynn Reed, and Melissa Diane Grisham.

She is survived by her son, Milton Andrews, and stepson, Anthony Miles (Johnnie). She also leaves a large and loving family of grandchildren: Tony (Savannah) Reed, Jr., Christopher Andrews, Dustin Riggs, Terry (Beth) Reed, and Michael (Samantha) Miles; and granddaughters Margaret (Dewayne) Kennedy, Amanda Beck, Courtney (Randall) Forrest, Brittany Riggs, Teresa (Floyd) Pedigo, and Hayden Moore. Brenda’s legacy continues as well in her great-grandchildren, Zachary Reed, Kyle Parson, Jordan Tucker, Ryley Fussell, Emmaly Fussell, Kaeley Fussell, Autumn Reed, Mikayla Reed, Jamari Moore, Harmony Moore, Adah Riggs, Mataya Riggs, Brandson Andrews, Hayden Andrews, Miley Schutte, Emily Schutte, Jackson Schutte, Landon Forrerst, Lydia Forrest, Melissa (Zach) Johnson, Joseph Mikeal Dykes, Jeremy Beck, Hannah Beck, Daisy Miles, Lily Miles, Colten Willeby, Ariadna Reyes, Miah Hernandez, and Logan Parson. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who shared in her life.

Visitation will be held on September 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 584 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, Tennessee. The funeral service, officiated by Bruce Kirby, will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 2:45 p.m. at Drury Cemetery, 676 Drury Ridge Road, Lafayette, Tennessee.

Brenda leaves behind a memory of faith, love, creativity, and steadfast devotion to family. Her life touched many, and her presence will be cherished always.
