Brenda Kay Piper, 71, of Gallatin, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026, in Westmoreland, Tennessee. Born September 20, 1954, in the Graball area, she was the daughter of the late John Melvin Piper and Bessie Mae Piper. Brenda’s life was a reflection of love, resilience, and dedication to her family and friends.
A proud graduate of the Gallatin High School class of 1973, Brenda built a life firmly rooted in kindness and service. She dedicated her career as a dietary aide with Signature Healthcare in Portland, where she made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals. Her commitment and compassion at work left an enduring legacy of care.
Brenda’s generous spirit was evident not only in her professional life but also in her everyday actions. A strong, independent woman, she took great pride in being a caring neighbor. Renowned for her helpfulness, Brenda loved working in her yard; mowing grass and gardening brought her joy and tranquility. Her selflessness shone as she often mowed her neighbors’ lawns, embodying the true spirit of a one-woman neighborhood watch. Brenda’s presence brought comfort and security to those around her, making her an anchor within her community.
Creative and talented, she had a passion for quilting, cross stitching, and sewing. These hobbies were more than pastimes—they were expressions of her love for those around her. Brenda’s handmade creations will be treasured keepsakes for years to come, reminders of her warmth and artistry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harris D. Piper.
Brenda’s greatest pride was her family, who now mourn her loss while celebrating the gift of her love in their lives. She is survived by her son, Charles (Brian) Piper; her daughter, Julie Senn; and three grandchildren, Stefany Senn, Sydney Senn, and Eli Senn. Brenda also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Linda Fay Smith and Sandra Piper. Each of them carries forward her example of strength, kindness, and devotion.
