IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Franklin
Bacus
December 18, 1953 – January 30, 2026
Charles Franklin (Frank) Bacus Jr., of Gallatin TN and originally from Little Rock AR, woke up in Heaven and heard the words "Well done my good and faithful servant" when he passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Frank moved to TN in the 80's for the music business, but he was most known for being a devoted husband to his wife, Lee, for the last 40 years. Together they raised 5 children: Shaun (Cornelia) Coppock, Zac (Sharon) Coppock, Dylan Coppock, Chaz (Jamie) Bacus, Lillian (Mike) Lynch. He was 'Poppy' to 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren who all love him.
He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and within 30 seconds of meeting a stranger he was inviting them to church. He was a part of 4 church plants over the last 30 years in this area including LifeChurch.tv in Hendersonville before finding his current home at Northfield Church in Gallatin since 2020, where he was an active member and an encouragement to the staff there. So if you don't have a place to go this Sunday, he would say "come with me I'll be at the 11."
During his life many also knew him as Coach Bacus. He coached baseball and football for many years in the Goodlettsville and Hendersonville leagues, for Merrol Hyde from 05-07, and for the last 2 years he had been able to watch his youngest grandkids in their little league games in Gallatin and Springfield. He tried to be at every game, meet, dance recital, performance or play he could make it to for his grandkids.
When he wasn't in TN you could find him visiting his family in Arkansas where he leaves behind 4 older sisters and many loved ones who called him Uncle Frankie. He also loved to go to the beach where he first met Lee as often as he could so they could get shells to make beautiful pieces of home decor. He leaves behind so many who loved him but he is praising Jesus with his mom and dad and other loved ones who were called home before him. He will be calling the Hogs and feeding everybody something smoked on the heavenly grill. "Go Eat" everyone.
A celebration of life service will be held at Northfield Church at a later date. When the date and time is determined, they will be updated to this obituary.
