Charles Kenneth Counce, age 81 of Gallatin, passed away December 20, 2018. Mr. Counce was born June 9, 1937 in Counce, TN, son of the late Kenny Albrey and Linda Parker Counce. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Norma Jean Counce; brother Roy Counce; sisters, Carolyn Kiber and Jane Gray. He is survived by son, Wayne Counce of Gallatin, TN; daughter, Annette Counce of Gallatin, TN; brother, James Larry Counce (Sharon) of Nolensville, TN; grandchildren, Dewayne Counce and Mackenzie Counce of Gallatin, TN.
Mr. Counce was a member of Cottontown Church of Christ. He worked at Sanders Printing Mfg. as plant manager for 28 years and was owner of Counce Produce for the past 21 years.
Funeral Service will be Monday, December 24th at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Ronnie Kidd and Brother Rusty Martin officiating. Entombment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with William R. Morris, Michael Johnson, Chad Patton, Ronnie Jones, Darren Bracey, Scott McWhirter and Joel Harrison serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday, December 23rd from 2:00-7:00 p.m. and Monday, December 24th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Some of my ealiest memories involve Kenneth, Nellie and Roy in Counce. Kenneth was a gentle and kind man who lived at peace with the world. I hold on to the memories of walking through Kenneth’s garden and talking about the various types of vegetables there at his home place.

While I never met Mr. Counce, I came to know and love him through his daughter, Annette. Words fail to express how I feel for the family during this time of incredible loss. I am part of Annette’s work family and her Christian family. My love, thoughts and prayers go out for Annette and her family.
