Cordell Young Spears, age 92 of Hendersonville, passed away February 11, 2018. He was born July 12, 1925 in Westmoreland, TN and was the son of Johnnie W. and Carrie Graves Spears.

He is preceded in death by parents; wife of 72 years, Bobbie Jean Spears; son, Charles Young Spears; sisters, Christine Martin, Beatrice Graves & Ruby Durham; brothers, Johnnie W. Spears, Jr., Mayner Spears & Gerald Spears.
He is survived by daughter-in-law, Mary Martin Spears Butler (Trent); grandchildren, Charles Martin Spears (Allison), Benton Young Spears (Mary), Mary Webb Nolan (Steven); great grandchildren, Adeline, Beatrice, Evelyn, Cord and Anna Spears; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Joe Dickens; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 15th at 2:00 p.m., at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Mike Trotter officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Center Point General Baptist Church, 1002 Center Point Road, Hendersonville, TN 37075.

Well one more has been called home. Uncle Cordell was a good loving person. He will be missed by all,may he rest in heavenly peace.Love and prayers to all Cleo and Shirley Spears.
