Declan Garnsey

Declan Garnsey, age 16 months of Castalian Springs, TN, passed away December 18, 2022 after a brave fight with Leukemia.  Declan was born August 9, 2021 in Hendersonville, TN.  He is survived by his devoted parents, Josh and Ashley Garnsey; loving siblings, Corbin, Ryker, Josephine, Xavier, Geneviene and Leo and new sibling expected in May, 2023.  Also, he is survived and loved by multiple grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Declan was baptized October 10, 2021 and confirmed December 15, 2022.  He loved chickens which was the first word he spoke.  He was a strong baby who walked by nine months. It has been said he was the sweetest baby who was always smiling.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with Father Richard Childress as celebrant.  Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and the Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
