Donald Wayne Troutt

Donald Troutt was born on October 1, 1943, in Gallatin, TN and passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 81. He was a real estate broker, and he sold many homes as well as maintained his rental homes until his death. Don was first and foremost a Christian and spoke often of his desire to go to heaven. He loved the Lord and worshiped at home after his illness.

Very much a family man, he spoke often of his grandfather who lived with them and took care of Don as a small child. Don enjoyed music and listening to politics.

Don is survived by his wife of 35 years, Martha Lucas Troutt, his two children, Chris Troutt (Tracee) and Dana Gilley of Gallatin, his grandsons, Landon Gilley, Lawson Gilley and Lincoln Gilley and granddaughters, Lauren Summers (Tyler) and Leah Grace Gilley and Elinor Troutt. He is also survived by Martha’s daughter Libby Moss (Patrick) and grandchildren, Patrick Jr, Lucas and Mac Moss. He was preceded in death by his parents Cordell & Louise Troutt and looks forward to being with them in heaven.

The family invites all who knew and loved Don to a visitation at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Gallatin on Tuesday, January 14th from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. Don will be laid to rest at Crestview Memory Gardens in Gallatin.
