Edna Earline Rowe, a beloved figure known for her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter, passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Born May 30, 1928, in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William Earl Toon and Lillie Mae Cave Toon. Earline lived a life marked by warmth, wit, and an enduring love for her family and community.
Throughout her years, Earline was a cherished member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church. Winters were a special time for Earline, who spent them in Melbourne, Florida, a place that brought her joy and fond memories.
Known as a spicy lady, Earline delighted in the little pleasures of life—she had a particular fondness for margaritas and the nostalgic charm of old western television shows. Her hearty laughter could light up any room, leaving an indelible impression on all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Jack O.C. Rowe; brothers Walter Green Toon and George Calvin Toon; and sisters Sue Lillian Eaker and Nancy Hall.
Earline’s devotion to her family was unwavering. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Patti Rowe; her sons, Richard C. Rowe and David E. Rowe; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who carry forward her legacy of love and spirited living.
Earline’s life was a testament to joy, resilience, and the simple happiness found in laughter and connection. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
