On December 22, 2020, Eilene Klug, 76, of Gallatin, TN passed away. She was the beloved wife of David Klug; loving mother of Michael Klug, Jennifer Donnelly, and her husband Tom, and Carolyne Klug, and her husband Jason; cherished grandmother of Lauren, Beth and Jake Donnelly and Rayce and Lloyd Klug; and adored by her grand dogs, Abby and Trudi.

Eilene always had a smile to share and a story to tell, to well, anyone. She made everyone she met feel special. Her exuberance for life radiated from her with positivity and light. Eilene dearly loved breakfast, the simple beauty of the sunsets over Old Hickory Lake, and her family. She always said, "Life is Good", and she meant it.

Not only was she a wife, mother, and grandmother, she was also a teacher, a neighbor, and a friend. She left an indelible mark on the countless students she taught over her career; she was that neighbor you could always depend on; and she was the friend everyone could trust.

Eilene will continue to live in the memories of everyone who has ever met her and be a source of inspiration and joy.

A visitation for Immediate family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 29th at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville. The visitation will be followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon with Fr. Austin Gilstrap serving as celebrant. Honorary pallbearers will be Peggy, Judy, Theo, Kaye, Patricia, Andrea, Beth, Carolyn and Joan. *If you are planning to attend visitation or mass, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to you Dave, and your entire family for the sudden and most unfortunate passing of this wonderful woman.. It was a privilege that I got the opportunity to know Eilene. She was truly a great human being. Visiting with her at Tom and Donna’s many Christmas parties, talking to her at weddings and major social events, always gave me the greatest happiness knowing that special people like Eilene existed. She was simple, kind, intelligent, compassionate and caring.. I always loved talking to her about her world travels and her time spent as a quality educator. With her many students, the example she set and the knowlege she shared with them is a lasting legacy. How lucky you as a family and how lucky all that knew her were to have been a part of this most successful life. Thank you Eilene Klug! Most Sincerely, Steve and Laurie Sylvester
