A Celebration of Life: Highland Seventh-day Church Tuesday December 10, 2019 7:00pm

Gregory LaMar Chatman, age 50 of Portland, TN, passed away December 6, 2019. He was born June 29, 1969 in Toledo, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Lewis and Esther L. Faulkner Chatman and sister, Joyce B. Faulkner. He is survived by children, Austin LaMar Chatman, Gabrielle Deana Chatman and Naledi Andraya Chatman; siblings, Richard W. Faulkner, Kevin M. Chatman, Barbara J. Chatman and John L. Chatman.

Gregory served in the U. S. Army. He loved the Pittsburg Steelers and Pathfinder pin trading. He enjoyed playing table tennis, Rook, Axis & Allies and tennis.

There will be a Memorial Service 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10th at Highland Seventh-day Adventist Church in Portland, TN. Also, a Memorial Service will be held in Ohio on December 22nd.

I work with Gabby through the Omaha Area Youth Orchestras. She is a wonderful, resourceful, kind person.

Sending my condolences to the Chatman family. Though, I knew him for a short time at Davita, Greg was a great teacher and was always willing to help others. He had a great heart and was a true gentleman. I will definitely miss him. Wish he was still here.

Gregory has been a fiend, coach, teammate and mentor for many years. He has an infectious smile and tremendous sense of humor. You will be missed my friend!
