Hal "Kent" Gilbert

Hal “Kent” Gilbert, age 73, of Gallatin, TN, passed away on January 8^th, 2024. Kent was born on October 19^th, 1950, in Hickory, North Carolina to parents Arthur and Carolyn Gilbert. He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Carolyn, as well as one sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Marietta Gilbert of Gallatin, TN, son Jon (Katie) Kent Gilbert of Greenville, NC, son Michael (Christie) Kevin Gilbert of Portland, TN, granddaughter Brittany (Josh) Perry of Chattanooga, TN, granddaughter Larsen Gilbert of Atlanta, GA, granddaughter Delaney (John Austin) Short of Gallatin, TN, grandson J. Kent Gilbert of Greenville, NC. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Harrison Perry of Chattanooga, TN, and Cannon Short of Gallatin, TN. Kent is also survived by his brother Dan (CeCe) Gilbert of Griffin, GA, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Kent Gilbert leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and cherished memories. His spirit and unwavering kindness will forever serve as a guiding light for all who were privileged enough to know him. Though he may no longer be physically present, his memory and love of old cars will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held at St. Michael’s Anglican Church located at 105 Shiloh Rd., Gallatin, TN 37066, on Saturday, January 13^th, 2024, from 12PM until 2PM. The memorial service will start promptly at 2PM within the same location.
