Harold Gene Gann, age 79 of Gallatin, TN, passed away at home October 11, 2019. Mr. Gann was born September 21, 1940 in Lafayette, TN. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Saunders Gann; parents, John T. Oakley Gann and Annie Elizabeth Scott Gann; brothers, J. T. Gann, James Gann, Earl Gann, Billy Gann, Hazel Gann, Gail Gann; and a sister, Juanita Moss.

He is survived by sons, Harold Shaw Gann (Leslie), and Jonathan David Gann (Megan) both of Nashville; daughters, Lori Gann-Smith (David) of Nashville and Stacey Schofill (Chris) of Montana; brother Roger Gann, grandchildren, Shawna Gann, Lane and Blake Rogers, Tyler Schofill, Zoe and Drew Smith, Carly McGaha and Britton McCuan; and great grandchildren, Hayden, Harper, Mathew, Addison Jane Rogers and Ayden Schofill.

Whether answering to Harold, Pa, Granddaddy or Gene, he loved a good joke and good food, especially his wife's cooking. He was a master of many things including working on cars, wood and metal working and giving advice, even when it was not asked for. He provided all of his grandchildren with a car when they became driving age including creating coordinating cars from various pieces/parts for his twin granddaughters. He loved and cared for his family and friends his entire life and was loved and cared for by his family in the last period of his life, accompanied 24/7 by family or friends so that he could be at home with his fierce guard dog Cocker Spaniel, Lola Marie, also known as Fluffybutt. He was determined, hard-working, stubborn and would gladly give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 17th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Paul Smith and Brother Mike Corbin officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens with Shaw Gann, Jonathan Gann, Lane Rogers, Blake Rogers, Tyler Schofill and David Smith serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 17th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

After funeral and burial, the family welcomes friends to gather at Harold's home for more celebration of his life with food and fellowship.

It was funny and Uncle Harold laughed cause at first he didn't know why I kept looking at him. He said I thought you thought I was a goodlooking man lol I said I guess so I married your nephew. He was a nice man.
