Jane Carol Burton, age 61 of Gallatin, passed away December 29, 2017. Mrs. Burton was born November 16, 1956 in Brunswick, GA. She is preceded in death by her father, Titus Edwin Johnson. She is survived by mother, Carol Bass; husband, Jerry Burton; son, Jared Glascock (Shannon); daughters, Shea Glascock, Shannon Glascock Willis (Anthony) and Jamie Glascock; step-daughters, Connie Burton and Tabitha Burton of Gallatin; sisters, Joy Schmidt (Fred) of Frankfort, KY, Brenda Gray of Oak Grove; Rebecca Crawford of Hendersonville and Tracy Shafer (Whitey) of Ridgetop; grandchildren, Alexis Bennet, Brantely Carmouche, Hunter Evans, Jesse Willis, Braiden Willis, Tyler Glascock, Ashton Glascock, Jaleyah Malone, Jakirus Ridley, Jamarion Bush, Judy Roberts, Sophie Roberts and Hayden McGlothin. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 584 Nashville Pike in Gallatin with Brother James Mallard officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3rd from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 4th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Where distance and time seperated us to a degree….the heart can never be seperated. My fondest memories are of us growing up together in Brunswuck…..just around the corner from each other….it was then we were inseparable…love you my first cousin, Jane. Our loss is heavens gain……one day we will all be together where we will never be seperated again……

Dear Aunt Carol and family, Shawn and I are grieving with you all. We love each of you very much. Jane was so kind, beautiful and gentle. I have so many fond memories of us all growing up together. She will be greatly missed. Please know that we are praying that the God of peace covers you all with his comfort. Heaven has gained another Beautiful Angel that was an Amazing Lady.beautiful, loving, caring, always nice to everyone. She loved her children and grand children and her family more than anything and everyone loved her. She was always kind to me.she had so many friends and always treated her childrens friends like they were her own.she truly was loved by so many people and will be sadly missed by all. My prayers are with her children and family. I love all of her girls and didn’t know Jared but I’m sure he is awesome like his sister’s. May God be with you all and give you the comfort and strength to help you through this difficult time..RIP Mrs.Jane please give my Mom a big hug and tell her i love her..I know you both are so beautiful flying high with your wings..
