Joe Morris Warren, 91, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born March 1, 1934, in White House, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Homer Horace Warren and Ruby Gladys Anderson Warren. He was a dedicated member of his community, known for his remarkable work ethic and commitment to his family and faith.
Joe pursued a fulfilling career, beginning with Nashville Gas & Electric and DuPont Chemical in Old Hickory before finding his lasting place at the Ford Glass Plant, where he eventually retired. Colleagues and friends alike recognized him as a "Ford man" through and through, often likening his steadfast determination and tireless spirit to that of the legendary John Henry.
As a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, Joe's heart was devoted to his faith. He was a saved man who cherished his relationship with the Lord, reflecting a life steeped in spirituality and community service.
Beyond his exceptional career and faith, Joe enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He loved gardening, quail hunting, fishing, and was an avid sports fan, passionately cheering on Ford during Nascar races. His love for sports extended to the University of Tennessee football, as well as the basketball programs at Vanderbilt and the University of Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Horace Melbourne Warren, Jane Warren Mason, and Larry Gilbert Warren.
Joe's proudest accomplishment was his family, which he cherished dearly. He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years Nancy Jo Warren; daughter Marissa Warren; and son Rick Warren. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Joseph Matthew (Jessica) Warren, Jessica Lynn Warren, Justin Morris Warren, Lydia Grace Warren, Richard Warren II, and Caroline Jane Warren. Additionally, he is survived by his great-grandchildren Eli, Braden, Kennedy, Knox, and Emery, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hendersonville First Baptist Church, located at 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd, Hendersonville, TN 37075. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Mike McLanahan will follow at the church, starting at 12:00 PM, with interment occurring at Sumner Memorial Gardens, located at 420 Albert Gallatin Ave, Gallatin, TN. Pallbearers will be Matthew Warren, Justin Warren, Knox LeLoup, Brian Warren, Nick Thompson, and Allen Satterfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Mason, Josh Clendenin, Dr. Anthony Dallas, Richard Warren II, Scott Wettengel, Rocky Monda, Patrick Hermy, and the Men's Sunday School Class at Hendersonville First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alive Hospice or the charity of your choice.
Joe's spirit and dedication will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. His life was a testament to hard work, faith, and the love of family. He leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to inspire those who follow.
