John Charles Hood, November 28, 1933 - October 27, 2018 died in Gallatin, TN as a result of natural causes. John was born in Anadarko, OK to Rex Hood and Goldie Motsonbocker and was the beloved husband of Frances Williams for 56 years. John was raised in Anadarko, OK and spent much of his life with his family in Oklahoma City. John was a devoted husband and father and loved being with his family. John touched the lives of many people with his sense of generosity.

John will forever be remembered by his devoted wife Frances, three children April Lea, Carrie Ann and Johnny Dean, four grandchildren Natalie, Kaitlyn, Jennifer and Ryan and seven great grandchildren Ashley, Rylan, Korbin, Addyson, Selena, Carson and Hannah. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service and reception to follow on Thursday, November 1, 2018, 2:30 pm at New Hope Baptist Church, 225 Scattersville Road, Portland, TN 37148.

I grew up with them living next door to my grandma Diane Hernandez. I always enjoyed being at their house playing with one of their granddaughters. My condolences are with the family. Much love. XO

I knew John my whole life. He was a very good neighbor. ! Hard working man and a devoted father that would do anything for someone in need. He will be truly missed and i am very sad to hear of his passing. I will always remember his coy sense of humor and how he loved Francis to the core. I would just like to say thank you John for all the guidance and memories.
