John Robert Steelman, Jr. age 88 of Gallatin, passed away September 18, 2018. Mr. Steelman was born July 1, 1930 in Carthage, TN. He is preceded in death by parents, John Robert Steelman, Sr. and Sarah Steelman; wife, Marjorie Caldwell Steelman; brother, Jesse Steelman and sisters, Sue Steelman, Bertha and Viola Steelman. He is survived by son, Robbie Steelman of Gallatin, grandchildren, Spencer Steelman and Sunnie Matthews; great grandchildren, Caylee Steelman, Kynlee Steelman, Raegan Steelman and Collin Stone.
Mr. Steelman retired from General Electric in Hendersonville, TN.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 24th from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Elder Brent Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday, September 23rd from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday, September 24th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
