Jonathan Paul Haney, age 43, of Gallatin, TN passed away after a long fight with cancer on April 17th, 2024. He was born in Gallatin, TN to parents James and Sandra Haney, on May 23rd, 1980. Jonathan is preceded in death by his mother Sandra Haney, sister Jessica Haney, grandmother Wilma Haney, uncle Frank Haney, and grandfather Paul Haney. He is survived by his father James Haney, his two beautiful boys Jayden and Isaac Haney, his brother Deric (Amanda) Haney, and nephew Grayson. Jonathan also leaves behind many other relatives and friends.
Known for his relaxed and laid-back demeanor, Jonathan found solace in the simple pleasures of life. His fondest memories revolved around fishing with his children and sharing unforgettable moments in the natural beauty of East Tennessee. A family man, he cherished every moment spent with loved ones, creating lasting bonds through shared adventures under the open sky.
In addition to his love for the outdoors, Jonathan had a passion for music that transcended genres and a knack for comedy that brought smiles to all around him. His enjoyment of movies, particularly finding humor in Adam Sandler's "Happy Gilmore" and other comedic gems that tickled the funny bone.
A visitation to honor Jonathan's memory will be held at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Gallatin on April 22, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM and followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. The interment will take place at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Westmoreland at 1:30 PM.
