Judith Carole Dagley, age 84, of Bethpage, TN passed away on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024. She was born on June 8th, 1940, to parents Homer Richard and Mary Gladys Hall, in their home in Sumner County. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 20 years Jim Dagley, her parents Homer and Gladys Hall, and her brothers Reese and Bobby Hall. She is survived by her niece Donna (Thomas) Blessing, nephew Steve (Carol) Hall, and nephew Nickey (Debby) Hall. She is also survived by six great nieces and nephews, her stepson Jim Dagley Jr., as well as many other relatives and friends.
Judith was a graduate of Gallatin High School. An independent woman, instead of continuing her education, she decided to go straight into the workforce. She was a stewardess for American Airlines based out of the Nashville airport for many years. She landed in Atlanta, Georgia where she would become a receptionist in a dental office. After moving back to Tennessee, she worked in the billing administration office at Sumner Regional Medical Center up until the time of her retirement.
After her retirement, the independent and headstrong Judith would stay just that. She liked her alone time. It was during these moments that her creativity would flow. A long-time hobby of hers was painting, using color to express herself in a way that words could not. She liked to keep herself busy, brushing up on her calligraphy skills and practicing her immaculate handwriting. The family remembers being tight knit. Spending many Christmas holidays and Labor Day weekends together; whenever they could get the whole family together, it truly was a party.
Although Judith is gone, her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. A memorial service to honor the life of Judith Carole Dagley will be 5:30 pm Sunday August 4, 2024 at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor David Mitchell officiating.
