Leslie and Jennifer

Your mom was one of my best friends. We went through a lot at work but managed to get through it.
The last time I talked to her she was dealing with a lot of health issues
I am so sorry for your loss.. Please lean on God for his comfort.
Please contact me by e-mail.

I lived next door to this amazing lady for just a little over two years. It was long enough to learn what a remarkable lady she was and , better still, a wonderful friend! A thoughtful, and caring person whom it was my pleasure to live next door to-Gail. We mostly talked about our children. They were both of our lives, grandchildren and all.
I'll miss Gail very much but know she is in Heaven where there are no noisy roads or rainy days! Leslie, Jennifer, Emma,Tommy and the entire family have my love and prayersߙϰߙ

Gail was always a beautiful lady, both inside and out. I so loved taking care of you girls, Leslie and Jennifer when you girls were small
I appreciated the trust Gail put in me at that time in my life. I pray you girls will stay close. Much love to you, Shana Durham Brooks

Their is no photo album big enough to hold or show all the memories that I have of my sister Gail! I do know that it a distinct honor to have been her little brother 53 of the 71 years she was here on earth! I would have never travelled or had the experiences in my life if it were not for this amazing person! I will always love you!

I didn’t have the chance to know Gayle: the mother, sister, and friend that you all have lost. She was my mother’s (Mavis Paulette Holland) childhood friend/lifelong friend.
When I moved to Paris my mom told me how much Gayle wanted to visit Paris and France because she was named after a famous church in Paris , Madeleine. Mom said she hated that name so I thought that if she could see how beautiful that church is she might like her name more.
Mom gave me her address and I sent her some pictures and information about it. Not long afterwards I got an unexepted note of thanks with a bookmark that reads: “Fill your life with adventures, not things. Have stories to tell not stuff to show.”
I keep that bookmark in my Hunstville Heritage Cookbook and think of Gayle each time I cook something southern.
Based on what you have all written about her, I feel she lived her life like that.
Though I never met her, she gave me a story to tell to everyone who loved her.
Rest in Peace Madelon.

In 1960 we moved to a new home.I meet a tall skinny girl named Gail .We rode bikes walked played all types of game in the TVA lot.we went skating played in a freinds pool just the
normal kid stuff!
Gail was not alway playing she helped Grandma Story with house ,kids an cut the yard. We were freinds thru High School . And as life happens we lost contact .But we would hear thru the grape vine how our lives were going
During this time another freind had married her older brother so our live alway came back
SHE as my daughter said we were life long freinds .Gail was a go getter
There was nothing she would not do for freinds and family .
I know I am going to miss our 2 pluss hour talks About everythings our kids parent and the world in general.
AllI I have thought about this week is Gail And two songs come tomind Holes in the floor of Heaven and Go high on the Mountain
You my good freind . Go
high on that Mountain your wook on earthis done Go on a shooting to the Father and the Son
I am going to miss you

may be some day we can meet again
Love to her girls and
Grand Children

I am so sorry for your loss. We worked together at National Life many years ago and she has always been one of my most favorite people. She was a hard worker and always made me laugh. We communicated via Christmas Cards and I was concerned when I didn’t receive one this year. She always kept me up to date on her family, she loved you much.
