Mary Justice, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away, peacefully, on August 28, 2026 at her home at Park Place Retirement Community.

Mary was born on March 22, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Sue Durbin and Kenneth Durbin. She lived in many states, but spent most of her retirement years, with her beloved husband, the late Jackson Richmond, in Cocoa, Florida. In September, 2023, she moved from Florida and became a resident of Park Place Retirement Community in Hendersonville, TN, to be near her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Ginger Durbin, Kenneth Durbin, Bob Durbin, Donna Durbin Romero and Ross Durbin and three of her four children, Deborrah Henry Combs, Stephen Henry, Mari Ann Henry.

She is survived by her son, Michael Henry (Judy); grandchildren: Norma Moulton (Wayne); Sandy Henry, Sonja Cauble (Loraine Tammaro), Amanda Henry Rozzo (Brian), Kelly Henry Ryan, John Baer and Shane Hardy. Mary was the proud great-grandmother of five great grandsons: Cody and Austin Ryan, Corey (Madelynne) Moulton, Robbie Moulton, Harrison Moulton (Allison) and two great-great grandsons, Ellis and Everett Moulton.

Mary received her degree in Nursing from Ohio State University. She served in hospitals in Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee. She was the co-owner of a photography studio in Clarksville, IN, where they specialized in family photos, weddings, but particularly focused on making holiday memories, taking Santa and Easter Bunny photos in their kiosk in the Greentree Mall.

Mary was a Life Member of VFW, Aux. 1832, Jeffersonville, IN, and Aux. 4534, Cocoa, FL. She served in several volunteer capacities, but her greatest achievement was to serve as President of the Ladies Auxiliary in Cocoa, FL, for many years.

Mary pursued multiple hobbies. Her favorite pastime was crossword puzzles but over the years, she created many beautiful craft items, crocheted countless afghans and doilies and in her later years enjoyed fine art painting.

Mary’s life will be celebrated by family and friends in a Memorial Service, to be held in the Chapel of Park Place Retirement Community, 31 Executive Park Drive, Hendersonville, TN, at 2:00 PM on September 2, 2026, with Mike Mayo, of Indian Lake Peninsula Church, officiating.
