Mrs. Melissa Ann Downs Burgett age 61, of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away Sunday November 3, 2019.

Melissa was born July 11, 1958, in Gallatin, Tennessee to Mildred Louise Sanders Knight and the late Kenneth Knight.

In addition to her father Melissa was also preceded in death by her brother Eugene Knight.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 26 years Stephen W. Burgett. Son Dr. John Downs (Jacqueline), granddaughter Brigid Downs.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Saturday November 09, 2019, at 11 am, from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Interment will follow in the Crestview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday November 08, from 4 pm until 8 pm, and on Saturday from 10 am until the hour of the service.
