Mischelle "Mikki" Carter

Mischelle “Mikki” Carter, age 58, of Gallatin, Tennessee, entered into rest on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 8, 1966, to her parents Sylvia and Kenneth English. Mikki’s whole life was full of artistic expression. She worked as a hairdresser for several years, and had many creative outlets in her personal time. One of her favorite things to do was to sing. She was passionate about music, and was a member of a band called, ‘Day Dreamer’. Mikki also wrote poetry and was a talented sketch artist. The beauty of nature was her muse; she would often depict trees and the moon and stars. Her family also inspired her, as she created realistic family portraits. Mikki was a woman of faith, and loved her church family at Freedom Church, in Gallatin. She was compassionate and always willing to help others. Family and friends will miss her smile and joyful spirit.

“Mikki” Elsa Mischelle Carter is survived by her husband, James “Stanker” Carter; Mama, Sylvia Adams; mother, Diane Smith; father-in-law, Dee “Pa” Carter; children, Mikalaa Carter (Tommy), Christopher Jones (Heather), Punkhead Carter, Brittany; grandchildren, Ayden Carter, Coltyn Carter, Lexi Jones, Zachary Jones, Madalyn Jones, Ivy Ahnna Carter, Kingston Carter, Titus Carter, Turtle; sisters, Karen (English) Becker, Joanna Hicks, Pamela Anderson, Teresa Blackwell, Amy Greene; sister-in-law, Susan Carter; niece, Tiffani Troutt; brothers, James Eric Adams, David Blackwell, Michael Blackwell; brother-in-law, Jeff Carter; and nephew, BJ Carter. 

She was preceded in death by dad, Kenneth English; Daddy, Forrest Adams; and son, Scotty Carter.

Visitation will take place at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center, on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 10:00 A.M., until time of her funeral service at 2:00 P.M..
