Patricia Ann Fortner, age 85 of Hendersonville, passed away September 14, 2026. She was born in Spencer, West Virginia on October 5, 1940 to the late Dennis and Jeanette Griffith. Patricia is survived by her husband of 31 years, Vinyard Fortner; daughters, Tara Sanders (Jereme), Karen Medana (Tony); step-sons, Robert Fortner, Michael Fortner (Vicki), and Kevin Fortner (Tish); grandchildren, Dayton Marchlewski (Jess), Mollie Sanders, Spencer Medana, Derek Sanders, Kaleb Fortner, Amelia Fortner; great-grandchildren, Honor Stephens and Brave Stephens. Patricia retired from the Tennessee Department of Heath and Developmental Disabilities. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville where she loved to worship, and volunteered for many years with VBS. She enjoyed yard sales, travelling with Vinyard, and truly adored and cherished her family, especially her grandbabies. Visitation will be at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center Friday September 18 from 10am until service time at 12pm. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
