Peggy Warrington Griggs, age 83 of Hendersonville, TN passed away January 6, 2018 at Grace Place Retirement Home. She was born April 6, 1934 in Lutts, TN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Carlos Warrington and O'Della Southerland Warrington; husband, James Henry "Jim" Griggs; son, James Henry "Jimmy" Griggs, Jr.; brothers, John S. Warrington, Max Warrington, Jerry Warrington and Tom Warrington. She is survived by her children, Ginger Griggs Vooys (Hans) and Gina Griggs Scott (Richard) of Hendersonville, TN and Tony Griggs (Cheryl) of Gallatin TN; daughter-in-law, Nancy Denbo Griggs of Cumming, GA; sister, Patsy Austin (Titus) of Hohenwald, TN; grandchildren, Lauren Spero (Frankie), Allison Griggs, Ashley Turner (Alex), Ben Griggs, Ambralin Griggs, Alexis Hunt (Brandon), Cooper Scott, Nathan Vooys (Emily), Nicholas Vooys and Alexander Vooys (Lindsay); great grandchildren, Charlotte Spero, Sutherland Spero, Lucas Vooys, Brinkley Vooys, Henry Vooys, Rowen Vooys, Evelyn Vooys and Haley Brazier.

Mrs. Griggs retired from GAPCO and was an active member of Gallatin First Baptist Church.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 12th from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Wert Campbell officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 noon until time of service. Entombment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be sons-in-law, Hans Vooys and Richard Scott; grandsons, Ben Griggs, Cooper Scott, Nathan Vooys, Nicholas Vooys and Alexander Vooys and grandsons-in-law, Frankie Spero and Brandon Hunt. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Pate, Buddy Vantrease, Peter Sandu and Alex de Feria.

Memorials may be made to Gallatin First Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, P.O. Box 369, Gallatin, TN 37066. Online condolences may be submitted at alexandergallatin.com. So very sorry to hear about Mrs. Griggs.Prayers to all of the children and grandchildren.The Griggs were such a part of my life growing up in Pulaski(especially Jimmy). I also know how very much Nancy,Ali and Ben loved her.
