Randy Powell, a beloved figure in the lives of his family and friends, passed away in Gallatin, Tennessee, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the age of 68. Born June 4, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Martha Ann Moss Powell and the late Billy Louis Powell. Randy was a man who embraced life with a free spirit and a remarkable sense of humor that could uplift anyone who crossed his path.
Randy dedicated his career to the construction industry, embodying the spirit of a true jack-of-all-trades. His diverse skill set was largely shaped by invaluable lessons learned from his father, instilling in him a deep appreciation for hard work and craftsmanship. Whether he was building or repairing, Randy's expertise was evident, and he took pride in his work.
He honorably served his country in the United States Marines. Outside of his professional endeavors, Randy had a passion for sports, particularly enjoying the excitement of Nascar, football, and basketball.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Carly Powell; his mother, Martha Powell; his sister, Traci Mora; and his brother, Scott (Shelly) Powell. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces, Miranda Allen adn Grace Powell, as well as his nephew, Zachary Mora.
Though Randy has departed, the warmth of his spirit, the laughter he shared, and the love he cultivated among those around him will remain forever cherished in their hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
