Reba Jean Borders, 79, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in Lebanon, Tennessee. Born June 10, 1947, in Portland, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Carvel Cleo Borders and Eunice Thompson Borders.
Reba will be remembered as a woman of strong Christian faith whose life reflected kindness and care for others. She always wanted to help those around her, and that generous spirit left a lasting impression on the people who knew and loved her. She found joy in simple pleasures, especially coloring books and playing BINGO, and she had a special love for Elvis Presley and Marty Robbins music. Above all, she dearly loved her nieces and nephews, who brought great happiness to her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Dianne Hibdon.
She is survived by her sisters, Susan Weems and Rose Avaritt. She is also lovingly remembered by her nephew, Sean Weems; her nieces, Carla (Tim) Spurlock and Amy (Mike) Corcoran; her nephew, John (Lauren) Parker; and several great nieces and nephews. Their memories of Reba will remain a treasured part of her legacy, and her love for her family will continue to be felt in the years ahead.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 584 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, Tennessee 37066. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Gallatin.
Reba will be remembered with love for her faithful heart, her caring nature, and the warmth she shared with her family and friends. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew her.
