Ricky Brown

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of a dear friend, husband, father, and grandfather, Ricky Allen Brown. On January 29th, 2023, at the age of 63, Ricky passed away peacefully in Portland, Tennessee.

Ricky was born on May 19th, 1959 in Gallatin, Tennessee, to Bobby Eugene Brown and Patricia Ann Duke Brown, who preceded him in death. Throughout his life, Ricky lived with passion and zest for all that he loved, including music, golf, cars, and his beloved football team, the Kansas City Chiefs. He had a warm smile and kind heart, always putting others first and spreading joy wherever he went.

Ricky leaves behind his beloved wife, Linda Gayle Vanhooser (Brown), and his cherished daughter, Patricia Gayle Brown and her spouse, Danny Leon Dobbs Jr. He also leaves behind his two grandchildren, Corinthian Chellis James Rollin and spouse Kesse Schneider, and Fayden Lennox Allen Dobbs. He was also preceded in death by his son, Richard Anthony Brown.

In addition to his immediate family, Ricky will be deeply missed by his three sisters, Teresa Brown McKnight, Deborah Ann Hathaway and spouse Kenneth Hathaway, and Dawn Laree Brown Griffin, as well as his three sister-in-laws, Marina Lueann Anderson and spouse Johnnie Anderson, Bonita Lynn Baker and spouse Walter Baker, and Kimberly Gray Stanley and spouse William Stanley. He is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Ricky's life will be held on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 from 12:00PM to 8:00PM and Saturday, February 4th, 2023 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM, Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Alexander Funeral Home at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 4th, 2023. Located at 584 Nashville Pike in Gallatin, TN.

Ricky's life was a testament to his unwavering faith, joyful spirit, and selfless love. May he rest in peace and continue to enjoy his passions in the afterlife.
