Roger Gregory Foley, known to all as Greg, a loving and kind man, passed away unexpectedly at the Sumner Regional Medical Center on December 9, 2023. He was born on January 17, 1952, in Somerset, KY. Greg's warm heart and generous spirit touched the lives of many throughout his lifetime. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alford and Lois Foley. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Phyllis Foley, daughter Christian (Andrew) DeYoung, Hope (Malcom) Roberts, son Seth Foley, and his grandchildren Emma and Philip. Greg is also survived by his sisters Patty (James) Betts and Monica (Mike) Crockett, as well as a number of nieces and a nephew.

With a zest for life, Roger dedicated many years of his life to teaching. He shared his knowledge and wisdom with countless students, leaving a lasting impact on their lives. For three years, he served as a substitute teacher at Beech High School, bringing creativity and compassion into the classroom. Prior to his retirement, Roger worked at Bosch Automotive, where his dedication and strong work ethic shone through.

Family was everything to Greg. He cherished spending time with his loved ones and always went above and beyond to help and take care of them. His selflessness knew no bounds as he made it his priority to ensure their happiness and well-being.

In addition to his career and love for family, Greg enjoyed several hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. He had a passion for shopping and delighted in finding special treasures for himself and others. As an avid fan of the Tennessee Titans Football team, Greg never missed watching a game. He also had a soft spot for Hallmark movies that warmed his heart.

Traveling was another one of Greg's greatest pleasures in life. He found great excitement in exploring new destinations and creating lasting memories with his family. One of his favorite places to visit was Disney World, where he would immerse himself in the magic alongside those he loved most.

Greg's extroverted nature made him a friend to all. He possessed a remarkable ability to make others feel accepted and at ease in his presence. His infectious laughter filled rooms with joy and his witty sense of humor often left people doubled over with laughter.

Greg's commitment to faith was evident through his involvement in the First Baptist Church in Hendersonville, where he was a valued member. He also attended services at Long Hollow Church, where he found solace and spiritual nourishment.
