Roger Dale Kilgore

Roger Kilgore, age 61, of Gallatin, suddenly departed on July 12, 2025.

Roger took his first breath on September 19, 1963; he was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee.

The past 8 years, Roger worked for Gap Distribution Center in Gallatin.

In his leisure time, Roger enjoyed watching cooking shows with Chef Gordon Ramsey and Martial Arts movies (especially those starring Bruce Lee). But what he LOVED to do, was to aggravate and embarrass his boys goofing around. He was playful with his grandchildren and was their dear BB and Pawpaw.

Roger was thoughtful and caring to others; he would often extend a kind and helping hand to those around him. He was always there, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Roger’s family and friends will cherish his memory and treasure all the laughs they shared in his company. May he rest in peace.

Roger Dale Kilgore is survived by his life partner of 21 years, Leah Davis; daughters, Christi Kilgore, Amanda Kilgore; nephews he raised as sons, Joshua Kilgore, Jason Kilgore; grandchildren, Kayden Soyars, Wyatt Kilgore, Madison Kilgore, Mallory Kilgore, Island Kilgore, Crimson Kilgore; sisters, Mary Johnson (David), Cheryl Kilgore; and brother, Jeffery Kilgore.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Marie Soyars; father, Clifford H. Kilgore; mother, Shirley (Traughber) Cook; brother, Charlie Kilgore; and sister, Deborah Netherton.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation with the Kilgore family will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., and again on Thursday, July 17, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. Burial in Gallatin City Cemetery will immediately follow.

Those serving as pallbearers are Jason Kilgore, Josh Kilgore, Jeff Kilgore, Brian Greenhalgh, Braxton Tuck, and Jason Whittemore.
