Ron will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his family members and spouse of 54 years, Patricia Ann Taylor; children, Michael Scott Taylor (Cindy) of Knoxville, TN; Ted Ashley Taylor, (Marie) of Gallatin, TN; and Matthew Brady Taylor (Leigh) of Portland, TN; as well as 5 grandchildren, Will, Samuel, Annabelle, Julia, and Everly. Ron is survived by several biological siblings, relatives, and close friends and for many years was an active member of the Hartsville Pike Church of Christ in Gallatin, TN.

Ron's passion for football led him to State Championships and winning football teams. His dedication as a coach was evident in his everyday life. He often spent hours on the practice field, watching tapes, and writing football plays. He also enjoyed fishing and singing in church and in various civic club minstrel performances in the area. Ron was very giving and generous with others and often sacrificed his own well-being for others putting into practice his Christian faith in many ways. He even helped to organize their church’s tornado relief ministry when called upon.

The family has chosen to not hold a formal memorial service but will have a private graveside gathering for family at Old Brush Cemetery in Portland, TN at a time and date to be decided. Thoughts, prayers, and memories may be shared on his page at Alexander’s Funeral Home.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to their church, family, and friends for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
