Mr. Dodd was born in Beacon, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell Theron Dodd, Sr. and Bonnie Mae Hobbs Dodd; his devoted wife, Carol M. Dodd and sister, Evelyn Dodd Sudduth. He is survived by his children, Debra Evetts, Russ Dodd (Sandra), Lynn Johnson (Richard) and Cindy Dodd; grandchildren, Shannon Johnson, Tim Johnson, Rusty Dodd, Ashley Dodd and Emily Evetts; great grandchildren, Wolfgang Johnson and Sloane Johnson.
Mr. Dodd served in the U. S. Air Force. His career was spent in the banking industry where he started as a FDIC bank examiner and then became a commercial banking operations officer.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 14th from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. John Penfield officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 noon until time of service. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
