Sheila Diane Stokes, a beloved mother, wife, and friend, passed away on February 11, 2024, in Gallatin, Tennessee. She was born on May 18, 1971, in Muncie, Indiana. Sheila is preceded in death by her parents Hansford and Margaret Minner, aunt Connie Gibson, and her cousin Tina Gibson. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Hank Stokes, her children; Aaron Stokes, Krystal a.k.a. Krissy Stokes, Thomas Stokes, Tony (Kessa) Stokes, Michael (Kayla) Stokes, and Scotty Stokes, her grandbabies; Aleera Stokes, Rudy Stokes, Melody Stokes, Aiden Stokes, and Kadence Stokes. She is also survived by her siblings; Tammy Rowe, Rhonda (Gregory) Cote, Shellie Spurlin, Robin Sturgis, Frankie Minner, and DeeDee Holstine, as well as many other family and friends.

Sheila's warm and welcoming personality was infectious. Her kind nature made others feel seen and cared for, as she always went out of the way to make people feel comfortable in her presence. Sheila had a great sense of humor that could light up any room. Her laughter was contagious, and her witty remarks never failed to brighten the darkest of days.

One memory that will forever remain etched in our hearts is Sheila driving fast in her Toyota pickup truck. It was as if the wind itself couldn't keep up with her adventurous spirit. She loved the freedom that came with the open road and embraced every moment spent behind the wheel.

However, for Sheila, family always came first. Her children and husband held a special place in her heart that overflowed with love. She cherished every precious moment spent with them, creating memories that will forever be treasured. The bonds she forged were unbreakable, built on a foundation of unwavering love and endless support.

Outside of family life, Sheila had a few passions that brought her immense joy. She adored Tweety Bird and found comfort in collecting memorabilia featuring the iconic canary. Music was another great love of hers; she found solace in its melodies and rhythms. Dancing was an expression of pure happiness for Sheila—a way to let go and embrace life's vibrant energy.

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Sheila today. She fought bravely against cancer until the end but has now found peace from all pain and suffering. Though death has taken her from our physical presence, her spirit and the memories she created will live on forever.
