Steve was born August 18, 1951 in Madison, TN. Steve is preceded in death by his father, Lucion Langford. He is survived by mother, Frances Langford; his wife of 28 years, Lisa Keith Langford; sons, Chris Langford (Kristen) and Keith Langford and granddaughter, Ryleigh Langford.
Steve was raised on a large family farm where he enjoyed the mud on the bottom of his boots, where the fresh scent of tobacco lingered in the air, where the cows and hogs were actually named and there was enough love for family and friends to go around. Steve was a graduate of Gallatin High School Class of 1969 where he played trumpet in the GHS band. He served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam. Steve worked for Sumner Regional Medical Center for 15 years and Sumner County Board of Education for 25 years.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26th from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Johan McGregor officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens with Ronnie Lashley, Jacob Lashley, Steve Keith, Tim Crague, Tyler Crague and Larry Barlow serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Lashley, Danny Lashley and Mark Lashley.

Hear of your families loss. I met Steve few times but he was always kind. I know he came from such a great family. I rode Mr. Langford's school bus and just adored him. Your family will be in my prayers.

Someone had told me you were no longer at Shafer , and of course that is loss for the school.
Just wanted to let you know I think about you every time I pass your house…which is quite often, so your ears must be burning constantly.
