Terri Ann Sullivan – Carter, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away in her home on September 28th, 2023. Terri was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky to parents Jerry and Phyllis Sullivan. She entered this world on June 16th, 1973. She is preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Phyllis Sullivan, and her nephew Tye Kozloski. She is survived by her son Joshua Lee (Autumn) Sullivan – Dorris, her daughter Sierra Shontè (Justin) Sullivan, her sister Wendy Kaye (Greg, a.k.a “Husband”) Adkins, sister Barbara Lynn (Johnny) Kozloski, and her brother Wesley Alan (Annette) Sullivan. Terri also leaves behind 9 grandchildren whom she dearly loved: Adyson, Braxton, Elijah J., Jackson. Sunday, Elizabeth, Izabelle, Landen, and Elijah.
Terri was said to have been an affectionate and caring woman. Confident and known as the “life of the party” everywhere she went. She had an infectious laugh that would bring the entire room into an uproar of laughter. A truly compassionate person, who loved wholeheartedly. She never knew a stranger and never wanted anyone to feel alone. Terri wanted to make sure that people in her life knew that they mattered and wanted them to know they were loved no matter what, that’s just the type of person who she was.
In her free time Terri loved to sing and dance. Music was a huge part of her life. It was how she connected to herself and others. She and her sisters loved enjoying a glass of wine and singing karaoke when they got together. She liked watching television and had her shows that she liked to keep up with, one show being “The Voice.” Terri also loved social media and used it as a gateway to keep up with her family and friends. She was the families bridge of communication, keeping everyone in the loop and bringing folks together. She was said to have been the glue of the family.
In more recent years, Terri was baptized and accepted the love of Jesus Christ into her life. She would attend Covenant Confirmers, in Springfield, Tennessee, with her sister when she had the opportunity. Although Terri may no longer be present with us, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her soul find eternal peace, and her memory forever bring comfort, warmth, and inspiration to us all.
