Gallatin

Wanda F. Bond, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025, in Gallatin, Tennessee, just days before her 78th birthday. Born on December 23, 1947, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late John Holmes Ferriss and Alice Louise Greer Coggin.

Wanda graduated from Goodlettsville High School in the class of 1965, where she met her high school sweetheart, Jeff Bond. Their love story blossomed into a marriage that spanned 58 wonderful years. Together, they cultivated a home filled with warmth and laughter, raising their daughter, Andrea, who would later gift them the joy of being grandparents to Abby.

A talented individual, Wanda was one of the first employees hired by the Oscar Meyer company, serving as an administrator. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Wanda was a woman of deep compassion and kindness. She was a passionate dog lover, often taking in dogs that had been abandoned, tirelessly finding them caring homes whenever her family would not allow her to keep them herself. This generous spirit extended to all aspects of her life.

Wanda cherished music and shared that passion with others through her work as a piano teacher and choir director at Walkers United Methodist Church, where she also played piano for the congregation. Her love for the American rock band Eagles was well-known and was reflective of her vibrant personality and joy for life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather Giles C. Coggin.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeff Bond; daughter, Andrea Bond Jacquin and her husband, Dave; granddaughter, Abby Jacquin; cousin, Jane Haynie; sisters-in-law Judith Hitch and Karen (Joel) Matchak; brother-in-law Gregg Bond; her four legged companion, Molly; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. These family members will forever hold cherished memories of her kindness and influence in their lives.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 27, 2025, starting with visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 584 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066.
