William R. Hutchins, affectionately known as Mr. Bill, was born on September 3, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. He entered into rest on December 12, 2025, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Bill was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather whose life was marked by an unwavering commitment to his family and a profound passion for music.

Bill's career was characterized by his remarkable work ethic; he often held three or four jobs simultaneously to ensure the well-being of his loved ones. For an impressive span of 54 years, he served as a Cad operator with Lamarche Manufacturing, where his reliability and skill made a lasting impact. In addition to his full-time job, Bill pursued his passion for music by establishing Lombard Music, a music and guitar repair store that served the music community in Illinois.

Described as dependable, giving, and caring, Bill's personality was defined by his quiet nature and generosity. He demonstrated his love and affection for his family through the tireless efforts he made to support them. His legacy of hard work and devotion will be cherished by all who knew him.

Music was a significant part of Bill's life. He enjoyed playing guitar and participated in various bands, performing gigs every weekend. His passion for jazz music was especially profound. Bill also found joy in watching old movies, a pastime that allowed him to connect with the nostalgia of earlier times.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Judy Hutchins; his daughter, Valerie Anderson and her husband, Craig; his son, Richard Hutchins and his wife, Eileen; and his cherished grandchildren, Drew Anderson and his wife, Hope; Chloe Messina; and Dalton Hutchins. He also leaves behind a great-granddaughter, Azshara Messina.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Hutchins, and his mother, Frances Hutchins.

As we remember Bill, let us honor his legacy of hard work, love, and devotion to family, as well as his passion for music that inspired so many. His spirit will continue to resonate through the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
