William Glen “Bill” Weaver, Jr., age 78, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born December 22, 1947, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Bill was the son of the late William Glen Weaver, Sr. and Eleanor Roddy Brown Weaver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Weaver.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Phyllis Tate Weaver, whose life was forever intertwined with his through love, faith, and devotion. He was a proud and loving father to his sons, Billy Weaver (Maria) and Chris Weaver (Alison), and his daughter, Cindy Brumit (Clint). Bill’s greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren: Maggie (Travis), Ellie Belle, Emma, Lucas, Caroline, George Grant, Hannah, Jack Henry, and Molly, each of whom brought immeasurable happiness to his life and lovingly referred to him as “Pop”. He is also survived by his sister, Susie Wade (Bob) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill dedicated much of his professional life to hard work and integrity, retiring after 30 years with R.R. Donnelley and later serving 15 years with All Access Coach. He was a faithful member of Gallatin First Baptist Church on Main and an active participant in the John Brewer Sunday School Class, where he valued fellowship, friendship, and faith.
A true lover of the game of baseball, Bill found great joy in coaching Little League and encouraging young athletes, teaching them not only the fundamentals of the sport but also the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. He also took great pride in his home, spending countless hours caring for his lawn and surroundings—a reflection of his steady, attentive nature and appreciation for simple pleasures.
Bill will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady faith, and deep devotion to his family. He lived a life marked by humility, hard work, and service to others, finding joy in simple moments and lasting meaning in relationships. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he so freely gave. Though he will be deeply missed, those who knew him are grateful for the years shared and the memories that will forever remain.
