Edgar Copeland

Edgar D. Copeland age 92, passed away on October 23, 2021. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Helen Molene Copeland, daughter Cathy Durham, great-grandson, Cory Gibbs, brother, Lucion Copeland, Jr. and a sister, Catherine Wooten.

He is survived by his children, Edgar E. “Flipper” Copeland, Sr., Randy W. (Beverly) Copeland and David Copeland, grandchildren, Leslie K. (John) Reynolds, Edgar E. Copeland, Jr., Benjamin W. (Leanna) Copeland, Angela Diane (Jamie) Conyer, Justin David (Camille) Copeland, Haleigh Alexis Copeland, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

Edgar was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family. He was a minister for 59 years and also loved to fish. He was a great carpenter and mechanic.

Visitation with the family will be on Sunday October 31, 2021 from 2-7 PM and on Monday from 11-1 PM at Alexander Funeral Home. Celebration of Life service will be on Monday November 1, 2021 at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
