Gwendolyn "Gwen" Young

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Sasser Young, age 99 of Gallatin, TN, passed away November 26, 2021.  Mrs. Young was born November 16, 1922 in Middleton, TN.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Bell Sasser and Laura Mae Williams Sasser; husband of 37 years, James Bernard Young; sister, Martha Frances Fortune; brothers, W. B. Sasser, Jr. and Warren Sasser.  She is survived by her son, James Sasser Young (Mary Bright); grandchildren, Laura Katharine Amos, Jennifer Elizabeth Blair (Calvin Lee) and James Hunter Young; great grandchildren, Connor Charles Amos (Melanie Reeves), Macie Elizabeth Blair, Miranda Lee Blair and Mia Katharine Blair; special niece, Deborah Fortune Musser and several other nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Young was a member of Gallatin First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 5th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  There will be a private graveside service at a later date.
