Irona Swann

Irona Swann, age 96, of Gallatin, TN, passed away at NHC Hendersonville on May 18th, 2023. She was born on July 29th, 1926, to parents, John Henry Allen and Katie Nell Allen. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Katie, her sisters, Marjorie Allen, Ruth (Lilliard) Waddle, and Mildred Evans, and her daughter, Pam (Mike) Hinson. She is survived by her son, Jonathan (Eve) Swann of Oak Island NC, Reggie, Jennifer, Taylor, and McKenna Lovelace of Grover NC, grandchildren, Zack (Lisa) Hinson of Mint Hill NC, and Michelle (Seneca) Mullins of Mint Hill NC, as well as two great grandchildren, Caleb and Ryan Hinson of Mint Hill NC Hinson. Irona leaves behind many friends who were like family at Christian Manor II where she resided for 20 years.

Irona was a loving and caring woman. She was born and raised in Gallatin, Tennessee around the Lock 4 area and enjoyed growing up there. Irona was a religious woman who grew up in the Baptist church and never missed watching her Sunday morning worship on TV. She loved the color pink and collecting angel figurines, decorating her house with them.  Irona was a diehard Tennesse Titans fan always watching every game. She loved children and animals, and overall was an affectionate woman. Although she is gone, she is not forgotten.
